Achieve Advantage offers advanced placement and college credit courses for gifted and talented students who are looking to accelerate their learning and receive college credits. School Districts are struggling with their declining budgets to maintain these important opportunities for their best students. Now, Achieve Advantage in partnership with colleges and universities offers these courses via the Achieve Telecom Network called AchieveXpress for combined credit at both the high school and these world-class colleges with a small impact on the school budget. In addition, AchieveXpress, in partnership with the local cable TV providers, can offer these courses directly to students in their homes.
Achieve Advantage for AP credit offers the highest level of education, produced by our University partners, but managed by high school personnel. In this mode the students take their advanced placement class, through AchieveXpress, and are monitored by a high school teacher. All courseware, i.e. readings, videos, assessments, is made available via AchieveXpress, but monitoring of the students and assessing final grades will be the responsibility of the high school teacher. Also, the AP examination will have to be taken at the end of the class to be eligible for future college credits.
Achieve Advantage for college credit again offers the highest level of education, produced by our university and college partners,and is managed and assessed by university and college instructors. This option guarantees college credit upon successful completion of the course. The advanced placement course is still delivered through AchieveXpress but is monitored by university and/or college instructors, who are available for help as needed. Students taking AP courses in this fashion will be able to get help interactively from university and college personnel via chat, e-mail, and/or video conferencing.
